Athletes 4 Change is a pilot initiative co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Sport programme, designed to use sport as a driver of social innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development, both on and off the field.
At its core, A4C operates as a trusted intermediary, connecting social impact projects, philanthropic actors, and athletes through a values-based and carefully curated process.
The initiative focuses on identifying and supporting social impact projects, and facilitating their matching with athletes whose values and interests are aligned. In doing so, it provides a pathway to translate commitment into action.
Athletes play a complementary role: they bring visibility, credibility, and personal commitment, helping to strengthen and amplify the impact of the projects they support.
The map illustrates where A4C is generating impact through projects and partnerships, grounded in the belief that sport can contribute to meaningful and lasting change.
